Fantasha AllenAllen is a social work student at Stephen F. Austin State University who has worked in long-term care and healthcare settings, and plans to go on to law school.

Jay DeanDean, a Longview businessman, has represented District 7 (Gregg, Harrison, and Marion counties) since 2017 and won the March 2026 GOP primary over Melissa Beckett.

In April 2025 he voted for the state's first private-school voucher program (Senate Bill 2), reversing his 2023 'no' vote after helping add amendments to the bill.
