Every two years they decide how much money your kids' school gets, whether your property tax bill goes up or down, and whether Texas takes federal money for health care or turns it away. About Chris
Oldham is a native Texan who has lived in Mansfield since 2019 and earned his business degree from Angelo State University. He's running for Texas House District 58 on a platform of fully funding public schools, expanding Medicaid to help rural hospitals, and cutting property taxes.
Helen KerwinHelen Kerwin is a grandmother of nine who was mayor of Glen Rose before becoming a state representative — and her daughter, Brooke Rollins, is the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
About Helen
Kerwin, a small business owner and former Somervell County Commissioner, won her Texas House seat in 2024 by unseating the sitting Republican incumbent in a primary runoff after he voted against school vouchers. She was sworn in as District 58's representative in January 2025 and has focused on property taxes, border security, and rural and agricultural issues.
