TEXAS MIDTERM 2026
WHY THIS RACE MATTERS
There are four County Commissioners, one for each area of Hays County, and two are on the ballot every other election.
WHO’S RUNNING
Angie Unger
Democrat
Unger wants Hays County to say no to water-hungry data centers unless they can prove a real benefit — and to protect the aquifer before it builds another pipeline.
Rob McClelland
Republican
McClelland spent 12 years as an Army officer — Bronze Star, then a logistics officer in the White House — and now sits on the Dripping Springs school board, where he made news as the "whistleblower" in a Texas Public Policy Foundation attack on school-finance consultants.
