About Yolanda
A Tyler native, Prince earned a public administration degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a master's from UT-Arlington, and now works as a project manager for Prairie View A&M University's Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center. She has held leadership roles with the League of Women Voters, the NAACP, and the Smith County Democratic Party, and won the May 2026 Democratic runoff with about 71% of the vote to challenge incumbent Nathaniel Moran, campaigning on affordability, wages, and voting access for East Texans.
