Moreno lost this seat to Zwiener by 13 points in 2024 and is back with $5,605 raised and $135 in the bank. His one concrete proposal is to eliminate property taxes, the money that funds Hays County's schools, sheriff and roads, without saying what would replace it.
His website calls him a sixth-generation Texan raised by a single mother, a licensed pilot, and president of two conservative organizations — but never names the organizations, his employer, or a single thing he'd do in Austin. He earned an associate degree from Tarrant County College in 2020 and has never held office.
