Shannon Dicely went back to college to finish a political science degree nearly twenty years after her first degree — a decision she made while recovering from breast cancer treatment during the pandemic.
About Shannon
Dicely is a mother who spent years as a stay-at-home parent and public-school volunteer in the Houston Bay Area before her 2020 cancer diagnosis pushed her toward community organizing and voter-rights advocacy. She won the Democratic primary for Senate District 11 with 75% of the vote and is now running on affordability, public schools, and healthcare access.
