Pat Curry is the incumbent state representative for District 56, first winning a special election in late 2024 to succeed retiring Rep. Doc Anderson.
He was endorsed by Governor Greg Abbott during his 2024 campaign and represents most of McLennan County (Waco).
Curry’s take on Texas values
He strongly supports requiring photo ID to vote and opposes allowing voting without one, a stance that makes voting harder for people without easy access to ID. [Ballotpedia; kwtx.com]
