Oscar Rosa is a pharmacist from Elsa who built his own small chain of pharmacies across Rio Grande City, Mission, and Alton before retiring from the business to run for office.
About Oscar
Rosa attended the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and worked at Lee's Pharmacy before starting Oscar's Pharmacy, which he grew into stores across the Rio Grande Valley. He first ran for House District 35 in 2022, losing to incumbent Oscar Longoria, and is running again in 2026 on a platform of border security, property tax cuts, and pro-life policy.

Oscar LongoriaOscar Longoria grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, put himself through the University of Texas at Austin, then UT Law School, and came home to open his own law practice in the district he now represents.
About Oscar
Longoria is a Mission-based attorney serving his seventh term representing House District 35 (Hidalgo and Cameron Counties, including McAllen, Edinburg, Weslaco, Peñitas and Brownsville). He has chaired the House Business & Industry Committee and previously served as Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee. Before the Legislature he served on the board of South Texas College and the Agua Special Utility District.
