Matthias-Jonah Early says he decided to run for office after standing in a hospital and watching people fall through the cracks of the healthcare system.
Early is the sole Democrat running for Texas House District 20, challenging longtime Republican incumbent Terry Wilson. He lives in Georgetown and describes himself as "a Texan shaped by family, service, and the belief that communities deserve someone who will actually show up." His campaign centers on healthcare access, public education funding, and job training with better wages.
Early’s take on Texas values
Early's campaign calls for greater investment in public schools, saying children deserve access to quality education and criticizing underfunding and outdated policy, which lines up with prioritizing public schools over voucher spending. [votematthiasearly.com]
