Martha Fierro was born in Matamoros, Mexico, and later worked as a nurse at the Texas Medical Center in Houston before entering politics.

About Martha

Fierro immigrated to the U.S., earned a psychology degree from the University of Houston, and became a nurse and mother of four in the Houston area. She's run for Texas legislature seats several times since 2018 and now serves as Houston director for the Hispanic Action Network, a group that organizes churches and pastors to get involved in civic life, before running for Congress in TX-29 in 2026.
