Tarrant CountyDistrict Court141st
Republican
Civil district courts decide lawsuits over money and land, and the 141st is one of them. John Chupp has been its judge since April 2009, and he is the Republican candidate with no opponent on this year's ballot.
Before taking the bench he was a litigation attorney at the Guerrero Law Office and is board certified in personal injury trial law. He is from Arlington, studied at North Texas and St. Mary's law school, and followed Judge Len Wade on the court. He has no campaign website.
Judges aren't allowed to take sides on these values — it's against judicial ethics rules. The best clue to how a judge thinks is the party they run with.
