Joe Paz Herrera is a 20-year resident of Natalia in Medina County who worked for Hershey, Bimbo Bakeries, and Ferrara Candy before entering politics. Pete Flores of Pleasanton is the incumbent state senator for District 24 and was the first Hispanic Republican ever elected to the Texas Senate.
