About Joaquin
Joaquin Castro is a San Antonio native and Harvard-trained lawyer who has represented Texas' 20th Congressional District since 2013. He chairs the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and sits on the House Foreign Affairs and Intelligence Committees. He's running for re-election, focused on healthcare costs, protecting Dreamers, and fighting the 2025 Texas congressional redistricting that cut into his district.
