Before running for Congress, Jessica Steinmann ran a federal office that handed out nearly $9 billion to crime victims nationwide.
Steinmann is a Montgomery County attorney with a law degree from Baylor who worked in Senator Ted Cruz's office, then served in President Trump's Justice Department as Director of the Office for Victims of Crime. She later became general counsel for the America First Policy Institute before running for Texas' 8th Congressional District as a Trump-endorsed Republican; she's married to Montgomery County Clerk Brandon Steinmann and has two sons.
