About Vincent
Vince Perez is the incumbent state representative for El Paso's District 77, home to UTEP and downtown El Paso. He serves as Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus and sits on the Ways & Means Committee, and he co-authored a bill creating a licensing pathway for foreign-trained doctors to practice in underserved border communities. In 2025 he was one of the Democrats who left the state to deny the House a quorum over new congressional maps, later telling reporters the maps "systematically silences the majority through... racial engineered maps."
