Greg Casar

Candidate for U.S. House • District 37Democrat

Who Greg is

An advocate for working Texans, he stood nine hours without food or water on the Capitol steps — protesting a Texas law that took away water breaks for construction workers.

About Greg

The son of Mexican immigrants, Casar started out organizing low-wage workers in Austin and won a seat on the city council at just 25, where he pushed measures like guaranteed paid sick leave. He was elected to Congress in 2023 and — still in his thirties — has become one of the best-known young voices on the left, widely seen as a rising star in the Democratic Party.
