About Frederick

Rev. Dr. Frederick Haynes III, 65, is a nationally known Dallas pastor and civil rights figure who has also briefly led the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. He decided to run for Congress after testifying against the Texas GOP's 2025 redistricting push, and jumped into the race after his own pastor-turned-congresswoman, Jasmine Crockett, gave up the seat to run for U.S. Senate and endorsed him to succeed her. He's campaigning on Medicare for All, abolishing ICE, and getting dark money out of politics.
