He spent 26 years as a public-school teacher in the Rio Grande Valley before running for Congress, after serving in the Army during Desert Storm.

About Eddie

Espinoza was born in Dallas, enlisted in the U.S. Army at 19 and served during Desert Storm, earning a Combat Infantry Badge. He later earned a degree from what's now UT Rio Grande Valley and taught reading and math in RGV public schools for 26 years. He's running as a Green Party candidate on a platform of rejecting corporate PAC and AIPAC money.
