Tarrant CountyCourt at LawNo. 1
Republican
County courts at law settle lawsuits worth up to $250,000, such as unpaid debts, broken contracts and car-accident injury claims. Don Pierson, a Republican, is the only candidate on the ballot for Court at Law No. 1.
Pierson was first elected to this court in 2010 and is in his fourth term. Before that he was a lawyer, board certified in tax law and in estate planning and probate law. He has a law degree from the University of Houston and an advanced law degree from SMU.
