Who Claire is
Before going to law school, Claire Reynolds started out as a journalist with a degree from Northwestern, and now works as an attorney disciplining lawyers who break the rules for the State Bar of Texas.
About Claire
Reynolds holds a journalism degree from Northwestern University and a law degree from the University of San Diego, and currently works in the State Bar of Texas's Attorney Discipline Department. She lives in Austin (the district also stretches west through San Angelo, Midland, and Odessa) and won the Democratic primary over Pedro Ruiz in March 2026. She's running because, in her words, Texans want leaders who lead 'with courage, empathy and humanity' instead of going along with whatever the president does.

Pfluger is a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate who became an F-22/F-15 fighter pilot and squadron commander, later serving briefly on the National Security Council during Trump's first term before retiring as a Colonel in February 2026. He's the incumbent U.S. Representative for Texas's 11th District (San Angelo, Midland-Odessa area) and now chairs the Republican Study Committee, the House's largest conservative caucus. He's running for reelection to keep pushing what he calls an "America First" agenda.
