Morales became president of her family's Houston funeral home at age 23, right after her grandmother died, and has run it ever since.
Christina Morales leads Morales Funeral Home, founded by her grandparents in the Second Ward in 1931, and the Morales Memorial Foundation. She's represented Texas House District 145 since a 2019 special election and now chairs the Texas House Democratic Campaign Committee. Every year since 1997 she's organized a back-to-school supply giveaway that reaches over 2,000 Houston kids.
