Caroline Harris was elected to the Texas House at just 28 in 2022 — at the time the youngest Republican woman ever elected to that chamber.
A Round Rock native, Harris earned a master's degree in public affairs from UT-Austin's LBJ School and spent seven years working as a policy adviser to conservative state senator Bryan Hughes before running for office herself. She won her House 52 seat in 2022, was named the House GOP's Freshman Legislator of the Year, and is now seeking a third term after focusing on border security, school choice, and property tax relief.
Harris’s take on Texas values
Harris says on her own campaign site that she 'passed comprehensive election reform, making it easy to vote and hard to cheat,' referring to Texas's stricter voting-law changes. [carolinefortexas.com]
