A probate judge handles the legal side of what happens after a death, including wills and estates, and guardianships. Brook Bell is the Republican judge of Probate Court No. 2, appointed in 2026, and she's from the small town of Meridian.
Before the bench, Bell was Tarrant County's public probate administrator and a professor at Texas A&M's law school. She has practiced wills, trusts, and probate law since 2016. She says she will "follow the law as written" and treat everyone with fairness, patience, and respect.
