Brett Robinson is a University of Houston graduate student earning a master's degree in public administration. He ran against Tom Oliverson in 2024 and lost, and is running again in 2026 with reproductive rights as his top issue, saying his opponent helped pass Texas's abortion ban with no exception for rape or incest.

He chairs the House Insurance Committee and formerly chaired the House Republican Caucus, and he's running for reelection after co-authoring some of the strictest abortion laws in the country.
