Family courts decide divorces, who a child lives with, and how much child support gets paid. Andy Hsu, a Republican and Tarrant County lawyer, wants to be the judge in the 324th. He ran for a different bench, the 360th District Court, in 2024 and lost.

Hsu has practiced law for more than 12 years, mostly on business deals: real estate, construction, company investments and international contracts. He has a law degree from Texas Tech. He calls himself a strong conservative and "constitutional originalist." He is married with two children.

Judges aren't allowed to take sides on these values — it's against judicial ethics rules. The best clue to how a judge thinks is the party they run with.
