Plumlee currently presides over the 330th District Court, a family court in Dallas County, where she has served for about 15 years. She won the Democratic primary for 5th Court of Appeals, Place 8, defeating Nicholas Palmer, and if elected would continue on the family court through the end of 2026 before moving to the appellate bench in January 2027.
